Sheet Metal Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sheet Metal Mechanics assemble helicopters and its sub-assemblies using a variety of tools in accordance with manufacturing procedures and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to assemble helicopters and its sub-assemblies with pneumatic tools, hand tools, drill presses, sheet metal rollers, stationary foot shears, and band saws.
  • Familiarity and competency with measuring tools such as torque wrenches, scales, and calipers used in the manufacturing process to meet blueprint specifications.
  • Perform trimming, forming, aligning, mating, fitting, and straightening on sheet metal and fiberglass. Basic knowledge of precision drilling, and installation of rivets and fasteners.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances.
  • Basic mathematic skills include but are not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication.
  • Must be capable of using calipers and basic measuring tools.
  • Full compliance with the Company’s DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

PAY RANGE:

  • $22.00 – $35.00/per hour
